COVID Restrictions Were Challenging for Me but had Some Appeal

Similar to most people, life was very different for me under COVID restriction in 2020 and 2021. I could not physically go to work or engage in most of my normal hobbies. I watched more TV and played more video games. I wasn’t sure if strip clubs would ever reopen. These changes made me unhappy, but I probably coped better than most people.

For the first time in my life, I had a reasonable excuse to distance myself from people, most of whom I didn’t care to see. I was now helping keep the world safe, by staying home and not getting together illegally. There was no pressure to visit extended family during holidays, which was a relief. Also, there were no questions about why I’m not dating or starting a family. Nevertheless, life has now mostly returned to normal, with the positives and negatives. Funny how perspectives can change.
