The Notorious Redbook

Back in the day, RedBook was a useful online resource for stripper/escort reviews. Forum discussions were free, but more detailed reviews about specific girls required a monthly subscription. I really enjoyed reading “trip reports” by other men who frequented local strip clubs. The reports provided information about which dancers to maybe try next time, and I also enjoyed living vicariously through the high-rollers. Those men who spent more sampled a larger pool of dancers and of course got better treatment.

I actually never tried the escort scene, though I did peruse some ads and reviews. In the end, I was not comfortable to meetup in unfamiliar locations based on questionable ads. And, I knew this activity crossed firmly into illegal prostitution. Strip clubs had a legal store front, and the activity was more in the grey area of the law. And, I was able to climax at strip clubs from lap dances, and my experience with real sex had not been as good. So, I was satisfied with strip clubs and dancer reviews on RedBook.

Interestingly, I see there are still sites today that review strip clubs, escorts, and massage parlors. I guess there are too many sites for the government to go after. And, there is controversy on whether the takedown of RedBook actually made these activities more dangerous for both sides.
