A couple of years ago, I happened to listen to a news mention of parents who worry that their children prefer “pixels over people”. Pornography was part of, but not the entire problem. Years later, I watched YouTube videos of Stanford professor Andrew Huberman saying that porn destroys men’s brains and natural motivation. His argument did make sense, with porn/masturbation short-circuiting the brain’s natural reward system. Even more convincing were the many comments on the videos (real?), with men acknowledging the reduction in sexual motivation with porn. Most seemed ashamed and want to break an addictive cycle. There were a few dissenting opinions in the comments, but they were in the small minority.
